Augusta, Ga. ? Former Kansas University golfer Gary Woodland’s roller-coaster trip to the Masters ended with a 4-over-par 76 on Sunday.
Woodland, a 2007 KU grad, opened with a 70 Thursday and was in a tie for fifth, then shot 77 on Friday to plummet to a tie for 37th. After a tournament-best 69 Saturday, he had rocketed back up to a tie for 14th, but his final-round 76 dropped him back to a tie for 26th.
Sunday, he recorded just one birdie — on the 530-yard, par-5 No. 15 hole — and five bogeys.
Woodland, 4-over for the tournament, pocketed $66,600.
