Kansas soccer wins finale

Kortney Clifton scored two goals, and Kansas University’s soccer team won its final game of the season Friday at Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

KU shut out Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, 3-0, on Senior Day. The win snapped a six-game losing streak for the Jayhawks.

Whitney Berry also scored a goal for KU.

The Jayhawks outshot the Cougars, 18-5. Half of their shots were on goal.

Kaitlyn Cunningham, Erin Ellefson, Lauren Jackson, Geneva Magness, Rachel Morris, Caitlin Noble and Katie Williams all played their last matches as Jayhawks and were honored in a postgame Senior Day ceremony.

KU finished the season 6-13.
