Orlando, Fla. ? Former Kansas guard Sherron Collins received extended minutes for the Charlotte Bobcats summer league team Thursday, scoring nine points in the Bobcats’ 77-76 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Collins played 31 minutes, which was more than his previous three summer league games combined. The 5-foot-11 guard went 4-for-9 from the floor, 1-for-2 from the free-throw line and added a team-high four assists.
Collins also chipped in a steal, block and rebound to go with two fouls and a turnover.
Former Kansas State guard Denis Clemente played 10 minutes for the Bobcats, contributing five points on 1-for-4 shooting with two rebounds, an assist, two turnovers and a foul.
Robinson plays 16 minutes
Former Kansas guard Russell Robinson increased his playing time for the third straight game, playing 16 minutes in the Indiana Pacers summer league team’s 86-85 victory over the Boston Celtics on Thursday.
Robinson missed all three of his shots from the floor but still finished with five points on 5-for-6 shooting from the free-throw line. He also posted two rebounds, two assists and two steals and five fouls.
