A Christmas Eve Skype call with Kansas University basketball coach Bill Self has sold for over $4,000 on eBay.
Proceeds from the online auction will benefit the KU coach’s Assists Foundation.
Bidding for the 15-minute Skype session started at $100 on Dec. 14 and ended more than 48 bids later at $4,050 on Dec. 19.
Erin Zimney, executive director of the Assists Foundation, said she got the idea for the Skype call from comedian Sarah Silverman, who auctioned a similar call for charity.
The Assists Foundation supports a variety of scholarships and grants for community organizations dedicated to helping children.
