Oklahoma State used a dozen hits and a couple of big innings to beat Kansas University, 11-3, and run its winning streak to 15 games on Saturday at Arrocha Ballpark.
KU fell to 18-25 overall, 1-9 in the Big 12. No. 9-ranked OSU improved to 38-7 and 8-0.
OSU scored four runs in the first and four more in the third — each time taking advantage of a KU error — for an 8-0 lead in a game shortened to five innings by the run rule.
Freshman Mariah Montgomery homered for KU’s first run in the third inning.
The series will conclude with a single game at noon Sunday.
