The Kansas University soccer team is ranked 13th in this week’s poll released by Soccer America. It is the Jayhawks’ highest ranking since Nov. 9, 2004, when KU earned a No. 13 ranking in the Soccer Times rankings.
KU defeated Long Beach State, 3-1, and Rhode Island, 3-1, last weekend to improve its record to 5-0. It is the third time in team history that the Jayhawks have started a season 5-0.
KU also is ranked No. 22 this week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.
The Jayhawks’ next game will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday against Denver in Colorado Springs, Colo.
