The Kansas University baseball team checked into the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Preseason rankings at No. 36 on Monday, the first time since 1995 the Jayhawks are ranked to start the season. The publication named KU third baseman Tony Thompson a Preseason First Team All-American.
