Kansas football earns academic mention

The Kansas University football team’s efforts in the classroom were recognized this week as the Jayhawks earned honorable-mention honors for the American Football Coaches Association’s Academic Achievement Award.

The award is presented by the Touchdown Club of Memphis and awards honors based on the NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate. Notre Dame and Miami shared this year’s team honor.

In all, 41 schools were recognized for graduating 75 percent or more of their football student-athletes.
