An agreement has been reached between the Insight Bowl and the NFL Network to allow Kansas City’s Fox 4, Sunflower Broadband Channel 4, to air the Kansas University football team’s Dec. 31 Insight Bowl matchup against Minnesota, KU associate athletics director Jim Marchiony said Tuesday.
Previously, the NFL Network, Sunflower Broadband Channel 154 — not available through all cable providers — was to be the only station on which the game would be aired.
“We had begun discussions with the Insight Bowl last week, and they, in turn, began discussions with NFL Network,” said Marchiony. “And the Insight Bowl informed us this afternoon that it was a go for the Kansas City market.”
Marchiony added that the game could also be broadcast across the state of Kansas, although a decision had yet to be reached on the matter as of Tuesday afternoon.
“Hopefully, that will come quickly,” he said.
