Waashington ? Waco, Texas – Malcolm Kelly had a touchdown catch and an incredible grab to keep alive another Oklahoma scoring drive as the No. 16 Sooners beat Baylor, 36-10, Saturday to remain in contention for the Big 12 South title.
Reggie Smith returned one of his two interceptions 42 yards for a touchdown, and third-string tailback Chris Brown ran 24 times for 169 yards and a score.
Oklahoma (9-2, 6-1 Big 12) overcame five turnovers, including fumbles by Smith and Brown that led to Baylor’s only scores.
Oklahoma has won all 16 games in its series against Baylor (4-8, 3-5).
Texas Tech 30, Oklahoma State 24
Lubbock, Texas – Graham Harrell threw for 353 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Red Raiders.
Tech (7-5, 4-4) rallied from an early 17-0 deficit, scoring on five straight possessions to take a 27-17 lead late in the third quarter. The Cowboys (6-5, 3-4) had a chance in the final minute, but Bobby Reid threw an incompletion into the end zone as time expired.
Harrell, who completed 28-of-44 passes, threw TD passes of 24 and eight yards. Shannon Woods ran it in from 1 yard out and Alex Trlica kicked field goals of 28, 19 and 23 yards.
