Ex-Jayhawk Moody on winning team

? Former Kansas University basketball forward Christian Moody and his Athletes In Action teammates are Jones Cup champions.

The Athletes In Action team, made up of U.S. college players, defeated Taiwan, 79-69, in Sunday’s championship game. Texas A&M’s Josh Carter scored 19 points with 14 rebounds to lead the way. New Mexico’s Troy DeVries had 20 points and 11 boards for the winners. Moody’s stats were not available.

Moody scored 14 points in Athletes In Action’s 88-74 semifinal win over Korea on Saturday. Carter had 20 points and eight boards and New Mexico’s Tony Dandridge contributed 17 points and 11 boards.
