J-W Staff Reports ? Brandon Rideau’s stint on the Cleveland Browns’ 53-man roster didn’t last long.
Rideau, an undrafted free-agent wide receiver from Kansas University, was released a day after the Browns’ roster was finalized.
However, Rideau cleared waivers and was added to the NFL team’s practice squad.
Cleveland released Rideau after the club signed tight end Billy Miller, a seven-year NFL veteran who was released by the Houston Texans last week. Miller also played for Denver.
