Former Kansas University basketball standout Lynette Woodard has been named to the Kansas All-Sports Hall of Fame board of directors.
Woodard, a KU women’s basketball assistant, was appointed to a four-year term Wednesday by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. Also named to the board was Bill Phillips, CEO of the Coleman Co. in Wichita.
Woodard, a Wichita native, played professionally in the WNBA and with the Harlem Globetrotters.
She was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
The Kansas All-Sports Hall of Fame is located in Wichita. It has also been in Abilene and at the Elizabeth M. Watkins Museum in Lawrence.
