Several changes have been made to the academic support staff in the Kansas University athletic department.
Glenn Quick, who spent five years as associate director in KU admissions, has become director of degree and career counseling. Scott Ward, an instructor in KU’s health and exercise science department, becomes associate director of degree and career counseling. He will work with men’s basketball, volleyball and tennis. Also promoted to positions as associate directors were Monique Kazadi and Michael Norwood.
Phil Lowcock, a member of the staff for several years, has been named to the new position of director of the life skills program.
Michelle Martin and Melody Granzow were promoted earlier in the summer to co-directors of the strategic tutoring program.
“The addition of new staff and the creation of a new position in the area of life skills will be of tremendous help,” said Paul Buskirk, associate athletic director in charge of support services.
Buskirk credited new AD Lew Perkins for “making these new roles possible.”
