The Sporting News is the latest publication to insist Bill Guthridge will resign as North Carolina coach and be replaced by Roy Williams. Williams said Monday nothing has changed except his growing anger at the rumor. He said he’s talked to Guthridge about the reports and how “unfair” they were to both men and their programs. Williams spent last weekend attending state title games of KU signees Collison, Hinrich and Andrew Gooden. Guthridge was recruiting for North Carolina. Case closed?
