Anthony Collins said he’s not sure yet. But if he’s going to go to the NFL after this, his junior season, he’s taking all the neccesary steps right now.Including making a pact with cornerback Aqib Talib, another junior who could leave early.”Whatever we go with, we came in together, we decided we’re going to leave together,” Collins said Friday. “I don’t know yet, and I’m supposed to get back to him and let him know what I’m feeling like.”Collins said he has talked to former Jayhawks in the NFL, including David McMillan, Charles Gordon and Adrian Jones. He’s also worked closely with associate athletic director Chris Howard, who came from LSU and has a brother, Ryan Howard, playing professional baseball.Collins submitted paperwork to the NFL Advisory Committee, which predicts which round an underclassmen might go in if he comes out. It’s one of many steps he’s taking at this point.”It can’t be lower than second (round),” Collins said. “If it’s lower than second, I’m coming back to school.”Collins, who said he’ll be 100 percent healed from an ankle injury for the Orange Bowl, didn’t come out and say that first or second round meant he’s definitely leaving, but it was the vibe he let off Friday in front of about eight reporters.Talib wasn’t quite so upfront. He did say he’s pondering the NFL possibilities, but he wasn’t as willing to talk about it like A.C. was.Talib was asked if the Orange Bowl on Jan. 3 could be his last college game.”I haven’t really thought of it like that,” Talib said. “If it is, it is. We’ll talk about that later. I’m sure we’ll have a different press conference about that later.”I’m trying to block it out and not really worry about it right now. After the game, after the season, me and coach will talk about it, me and my family will talk about it and then we’ll make a decision from there.”
