The Lawrence Journal-World staffers are only picking six games per week, but once again no one got through [the previous weekend][1] with an unbeaten record.
We’ll see what we can do in Week 3, without as many tough games on the schedule.
One of the more evenly matched games figures to be Kansas vs. Central Michigan, but eight of our 10 competitors are going with the Jayhawks on Saturday.
WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
—————
Central Michigan at Kansas
Oklahoma at West Virginia
Clemson at Florida State
Miami at Nebraska
Mississippi State at LSU
Florida at Alabama
QUESTION OF THE WEEK
——————–
There aren’t many intriguing games this week. What are you most likely to watch when the TV fails to provide you with quality football?

**Answer**: “Trailer Park Boys,” the depressing Canadian sit-com on Netflix, came out with a new season this year and I haven’t seen one yet. I have some catching up to do. It’s very funny, but also depressing, just not as depressing as other things I’ve been watching lately.

**Nebraska 32**, Miami 20
**Mississippi State 28**, LSU 17
**Alabama 14**, Florida 10
**Answer**: During the baseball season, I’ll definitely switch over to baseball games. If not, then it’s probably a chance to catch some old movies on Netflix.

**Answer**: Football will be on the back-burner this weekend with the Tigers and Royals playing a three-game series in Kansas City. The series will go a long way in helping decide which team wins the American League Central and if the Royals make the playoffs for the first time since 1985.

**Answer**: Bought the first season of “The Bridge” a few weeks back on the Roku. Still haven’t watched it. It’s there for me like a hidden Butterfinger bar.

**Florida State 40**, Clemson 24

**Answer**: Since Denver Broncos Super Bowl highlights from 1997 and 1998 technically would still be considered watching football, I’ll go with something else. Like millions of other people, I’ve really gotten into the phenomenon of binge watching original programming on HBO, Showtime and the like. Some of my all-time favorites include: “The Sopranos,” “Californication” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” But my more recent favorites are: “Homeland,” “Game of Thrones” and “Boardwalk Empire.” “Homeland” might not get the mainstream, heavy-breathing type of love like the rest of those, but it’s as good as it gets!
*Overall: 7-5 Last week: 3-3*
**Kansas 32**, Central Michigan 31
**Oklahoma 51**, West Virginia 14
**Florida State 49**, Clemson 47
**Nebraska 102**, Miami 77
**LSU 114**, Mississippi State 42
**Alabama 2**, Florida 1
**Answer**: “Naked and Afraid” and “Naked Dating” marathon. WIth a “Naked Gun” chaser.
*Overall: 7-5 Last week: 4-2*
**Kansas 20**, Central Michigan 19
**Oklahoma 38**, West Virginia 31
**Florida State 23**, Clemson 20
**Nebraska 20**, Miami 17
**LSU 24**, Mississippi State 13
**Alabama 45**, Florida 20
**Answer**: I would probably catch up on some Boardwalk Empire on HBO GO or on demand — if Google Fiber provided access to either of those options. C’mon, man! I’ve got a bunch of classic episodes of “The Simpsons” DVR’d, though.
