For the 12th year in a row, Kansas dropped the Sunflower Showdown to Kansas State.

Kansas State scored on two different punt returns and added a pick-six for good measure in a 55-14 win over Kansas Saturday afternoon at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The Wildcats are off to a 4-1 start, including 4-0 in Big 12 action since dropping the season opener to Arkansas State. Second-year head coach Chris Klieman has directed K-State’s best start in Big 12 play since 2014.

The Jayhawks, meanwhile, are now 0-5 on the year during Les Miles’ second season at the helm. KU has lost all four of its Big 12 games by at least three touchdowns.

Kansas will play host to Iowa State at 11 a.m. Saturday at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
