Kansas coach Bill Self following 73-72 win over Creighton

Behind a 3-pointer in the final minute of play from Jalen Wilson, No. 5 Kansas secured a 73-72 win over No. 8 Creighton Tuesday night in Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks (5-1) played in front of 2,500 fans during their first home game with fans in attendance this year.

Wilson, who hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 40 seconds left in the game, finished a team-high 23 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Sophomore Christian Braun finished with 14 points for KU.

Junior forward David McCormack, who had the kick-out pass on Wilson’s late triple, ended up with 13 points on the night.

Kansas will play host to Omaha at 6 p.m. Friday.
