KU freshman Devon Dotson on importance of getting to rim in win over NU

KU, the fourth seed in the Midwest Region, took care of business with a 87-53 win over 13th-seeded Northeastern Thursday afternoon at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Dedric Lawson led Kansas with 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including a 3-for-5 effort from downtown, to go along with 11 rebounds in 27 minutes. Freshman Devon Dotson scored 18 points, while K.J. Lawson also poured in 13 points off the bench.

For the 13th consecutive season, the Jayhawks advanced to the Round of 32.

Kansas will face fifth-seeded Auburn on Saturday.
