Bill Self speaks to reporters after KU arrives in Salt Lake City

Kansas head coach Bill Self spoke to reporters Tuesday afternoon as the team arrived in Salt Lake City.

Kansas (25-9, 12-6 Big 12) will open the 2019 NCAA Championship as the No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region on Thursday, taking on the No. 13-seeded Northeastern Huskies (23-10, 14-4 Colonial) at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.

The game, set for approximately 3 p.m. (CT), will be televised on TNT with Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Steve Lappas (analyst) and Lisa Byington (reporter) calling the action.

This year marks the 19th-straight season that the Jayhawks have earned a top-four seed in the NCAA Tournament.
