Bill Self on KU’s 80-76 win over Iowa State

Kansas coach spoke to reporters following KU’s 80-76 win over Iowa State Monday night in Allen Fieldhouse.

It was a strong response by the Jayhawks (16-3, 5-2 Big 12), who lost to the Cyclones (14-5, 4-3) 16 days ago and were coming off a 1-point defeat at West Virginia as well.

“We’ve got to become a team,” Self said. “It takes time to become a team and who you are. So much of it is a mindset. We need to be more of an attack-type team on both ends, but I thought we played with more confidence.”

Kansas travels to Kentucky at 5 p.m. Saturday.
