KU coach Bill Self holds press conference regarding college basketball corruption case

University of Kansas head basketball coach Bill Self spoke to reporters about the college basketball corruption case at Allen Fieldhouse Wednesday evening.

An Adidas executive and two other insiders from the high-stakes world of college basketball recruiting were convicted Wednesday in a corruption case.

The verdict came in the closing minutes of Self’s time with reporters during Big 12 Media Day at the Sprint Center on Wednesday. Self held the press conference to release an official statement regarding the college basketball corruption case.

In addition, Self announced that sophomore forward Silvio De Sousa will not play in Thursday’s exhibition opener against Emporia State at 7 p.m. at Allen Fieldhouse.
