KU players on win over Marquette

Dedric Lawson and Devon Dotson speak to reporters following KU’s win over Marquette in the NIT Season Tip-Off semifinals Wednesday night at Barclays Center.

The Jayhawks went on a 22-0 run to start the second half to claim a 77-68 victory over the Golden Eagles.

“Shout out to Marquette they came out firing away. Coach had got on us about being tough and just going out there,” Lawson said. “We made a couple of adjustments in the second half and I think it helped us a lot going on the 22-0 run and it started with Devon [Dotson] and he took Markus Howard out of the game. After that he cut the head off the snake and we started to roll.”

The No. 2 Jayhawks (4-0) survived and will play No. 5 Tennessee at approximately 8 p.m. Friday for the NIT Season Tip-Off title.
