KU coach Self credits Vick’s hot week after win over Louisiana

Kansas coach Bill Self spokes to reporters following KU’s 89-76 win over Louisiana Friday night at Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks (3-0) led for over 27 minutes of the game, despite a slow start. Senior Lagerald Vick hit a pair of 3-pointers to give KU a 44-41 advantage at the half, and Kansas staved off Louisiana in the second half.

A trio of players scored at least 17 points, as Vick paced the squad with 33 points on 11 of 18 shooting from the field.
