David Beaty remains focused on Kansas State

David Beaty spoke to reporters Tuesday afternoon, which was his first press conference since finding out he will not be the head coach at Kansas after the conclusion of this year. Beaty said the team is focused on its rivalry showdown with Kansas State.

“At the end of the day, I understand it is a production business on all of us,” Beaty said. “I’ll tell you this, it won’t effect Saturday for either one of us. It will be who executes the best and gets their team ready to play.”

The Wildcats have won nine consecutive meetings with the Jayhawks. K-State coach Bill Snyder is 22-4 all-time against KU, including a 12-1 clip in Manhattan.

Kansas (3-6, 1-5 Big 12) travels to Kansas State (3-6, 1-5) at 11 a.m. Saturday.
