Omaha, Neb. — To advance to the Final Four, KU needed several big performances from several key players.
“It was just a team effort,” said guard Lagerald Vick. “We left it all out there.”
Vick, now a junior, had reached the Elite Eight in his first two seasons.
This time, though, Vick and the Jayhawks were able to advance, as the junior scored in double-figures for the seventh straight time in the overtime win.
“We was able to get through that hump,” Vick said. “It was just a huge game for us. We just got it done.”
