KU quarterback Peyton Bender had last Saturday off because of the bye week. That didn’t mean, however, he spent his time away from the task at hand — the team’s game this Saturday against Texas Tech.
“Yeah, I watched. I watched a lot of the game,” Bender said of Texas Tech’s 41-34 loss to Oklahoma State. “Definitely try to scout them out a little bit.”
Sitting at 1-3 (0-1 Big 12) on the season, Bender and the Jayhawks will look for their first conference win since defeating Texas late last year. Here is what the quarterback had to say on Tuesday with regard to the Red Raiders, KU’s bye week and his own performance so far.
