Kansas freshman forward Carlton Bragg Jr. says senior forwards Jamari Traylor and Perry Ellis made it clear to him before his first postseason game that he should play with confidence and not feel pressure.
Bragg, a 6-foot-9 big man from Cleveland, Ohio, followed their advice, calmly draining a pair of 3-pointers on his way to 12 points off the bench.
After making one bomb from the top of the key and another from the left side, Bragg says he doesn’t have a favorite spot on the floor to take 3-pointers.
“I was just letting it fly, you know,” says the freshman, now 4-for-7 on 3’s this season. “Luckily I was making shots tonight.”
