Cheick Diallo says strengths include rebounding, blocking shots, dunking on people

Kansas freshman forward Cheick Diallo speaks with media members the day before his first game with the Jayhawks.

The 6-foot-9 Diallo says he became frustrated at times waiting to be cleared by the NCAA, but now is eager to finally play Tuesday night against Loyola Maryland.

The Mali native says his strengths as a player at this juncture include rebounding, blocking shots, running the floor and, well, dunking on people.

Although Diallo is confident in his offensive abilities, he says he won’t be going out trying to score 40 points, or even 20 points. The freshman says his main objective is to make sure Kansas wins every game.
