Bill Self on Holy Cross, KU’s bigs and more

By Staff     Dec 8, 2015

The day before his Kansas basketball team takes on Holy Cross, coach Bill Self discusses defending the Crusaders’ version of the Princeton offense, and the down-the-road benefits of facing that type of team.

Self also says he needs to give senior big Hunter Mickelson more playing time to “see what he can do” before Big 12 play begins. The coach added the same could be said for freshmen bigs Carlton Bragg and Cheick Diallo.

“Anybody who thinks it’s easy to squeeze six guys into 80 minutes doesn’t really understand it,” Self said of trying to find playing time for those three, as well as seniors Perry Ellis and Jamari Traylor, and junior Landen Lucas.
