**1 – Dedric Lawson -** Another night, another double-double for KU’s leading scorer, this time 16 points and 14 rebounds. His seventh such outing of the year was one of his least memorable, but the three steals he contributed illustrate his effort all over the floor.
**2 – Mitch Lightfoot -** Easily KU’s best player in the first half after converting a pair of offensive rebounds into old-fashioned three-point plays. Finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds and a block in 13 minutes and further cement his role as a steady hand when KU needs one.
**3 – Devon Dotson -** So strong and quick getting to the rim. Not his best night everywhere, but South Dakota did not have anyone who could handle his drive and the freshman’s 6 assists — after just six in his last three games combined — were a great sign of him refocusing his efforts on getting others involved.
**4 – Charlie Moore -** Hit a couple of 3-pointers on a night when Kansas couldn’t buy one and overcame a terrible start to score 18 points on 6-of-9 3-point shooting in 21 minutes.
**5 – Marcus Garrett -** Hit the glass, grabbed a couple of steals and hounded South Dakota’s most effective perimeter player when his teammates could not. 5 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in 28 minutes.
**6 – David McCormack -** Played a few more minutes than in recent games and showed flashes of what he can do. Still never looked fully settled in and finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds in 17 minutes.
**7 – Lagerald Vick -** Not his best game offensively but he played hard throughout and followed his own miss on two separate occasions for second-chance opportunities.
**8 – Quentin Grimes -** Aggressive offensively to open both halves, but the quick starts never materialized into much more. Had he not been in a slump entering the game, this would’ve looked like little more than a so-so night.
**9 – K.J. Lawson -** Came in firing and didn’t hit. Played too little to factor into things that much.
