Kansas assistant coach Norm Roberts will head north on Thursday to see Class of 2020 guard Jalen Suggs.

Suggs, who is considered to be one of the top guard prospects in the 2020 class, is also one of the top quarterbacks in the country.

On the basketball side of things, Suggs has a long list of schools hoping he chooses to play hoops at the next level. Minnesota, Butler, Georgia, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Iowa State and Kansas among others are some schools interested in Suggs.

Many schools are recruiting Suggs for both basketball and football.

Interesting. I wonder if he could realistically play for the football team and basketball team? I've never seen that but could be possible at KU. Five star point guard, four star QB. Why not?!

It is certainly rare. We have had two sport players before, but not necessarily stars. There was a quarterback that was on the basketball team back in the late 90's. I believe it was Jelani Janisse (of Slamball fame).

There was also one a lot more prominent at North Carolina. Last name of Curry (Ronald Curry, had to look it up) and was a top 5 guard and quarterback prospect if I recall correctly. At least high level in both sports. Was there late 90s to early 00's with Julius Peppers (who also played both).

Charlie Ward!! Played both football and basketball in college and ended up in NBA. Won National Championship at FSU at quarterback along with Heisman Trophy. Went undrafted by NFL but was drafted by MLB. .

Doesn't Mr. Sosinski count? Just because he didn't log minutes in the game didn't mean he didn't put in the same amount of work playing two sports.
