Kansas running back Ke'aun Kinner (22) breezes past Memphis linebacker Hayden Ferrari (30) during the second quarter on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Memorial Stadium.

**No. 1 – Ke’aun Kinner:** The team’s best player rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown and averaged 7.1 yards per carry. KU had 46 rushing plays and attempted 38 passes. Thanks largely to Kinner, the ratio likely will grow more run-heavy.

**No. 2 – De’Andre Mann:** rushed for 36 yards and gained 22 yards on a reception. He’s smaller, faster and healthier than a year ago.

**No. 3 – Fish Smithson:** Contributed 12 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.

**No. 4 – Marcquis Roberts:** His limp indicates he’s playing hurt and his toughness allows him to make plays. Had career-high nine tackles and recovered a fumble.

**No. 5 – Ben Goodman:** Had six tackles, two for 12 yards in losses.

**No. 6 – Damani Mosby:** Had a 14-yard tackle for loss and recovered a fumble.

**No. 7 – Kent Taylor:** He gets open often but either is not seen or is overthrown.

**No. 8 – Tyler Patrick:** Had six receptions for 38 yards.

**No. 9 – Matthew Wyman:** Booted a 51-yard field goal.

**No. 10 – Nick Bartolotta:** Hit field goals of 30 and 33 yards. Has made all three field-goal attempts and all five extra-point kicks. Playing for an imperfect team, he has been perfect on his kicks.
