Kansas guard Frank Mason III (0) gets to the bucket against TCU Horned Frogs forward Kenrich Williams (34) during the second half at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas.

**1 – Frank Mason III:** TCU took a 43-40 lead, when Mason decided to take over the game with an assortment of jumpers, strong drives to the hoop and a tear-drop shot. Scored eight of his 16 points during a 19-5 run that gave KU an 11-point lead with 3:35 left. In atypical fashion, he missed two free throws when making one would have sealed it, which gave TCU one more shot at extending the game.

**2 – Landen Lucas:** Scrapped his way to eight points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots in his best performance of the year, one that desperately was needed.

**3 – Perry Ellis:** Sat all but the opening couple of minutes of the first half after getting two quick fouls and four quick points. He might have had a big first half and big scoring night had he not committed the fouls. Finished with eight points and five rebounds.

**4 – Brannen Greene:** Made 5 of 6 free throws, had a blocked shot and a rebound in the final minute, but had a rough defensive night and made just 1 of 4 shots.

**5 – Cliff Alexander:** Had six points and four rebounds and did not do a good job of keeping the Horned Frogs (29 offensive rebounds) from following their own shots.

**6 – Jamari Traylor:** Had a decent defensive night, blocked three shots and picked up three rebounds.

**7 –  Devonté Graham:** TCU player came down on his foot and left him in great pain in the big toe that caused him to miss games. He re-entered the game. Had two key turnovers, made 3 of 3 field goals and made his only free throw.

**8 – Hunter Mickelson:** Had a very active, productive first-half stretch in which he blocked two shots and scored four points.

**9 – Wayne Selden Jr.:** Set up teammates with beautiful passes to the post and had four assists, but again clanked shots, making just 2 of 8.

**10 – Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk:** Had a brief first-half run, rushed up a bad shot on a drive, but also made 1 of 2 three-pointers. Turned it over once.

**11 – Kelly Oubre Jr.:** Slowed by the flu, he missed all three shots, two of them forced.
