**1 – Ben Heeney**: He ran down player after player and used all that momentum to bury the guy with the ball because that’s what he always does. Sometimes bad football teams have a great player and this one does. Heeney had 10 tackles, nine of the solo variety, 1.5 tackles for losses, a fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry. He plays with speed, passion and toughness.
**2 – Andrew Bolton**: It looks as if Kansas has a good one in the junior defensive tackle. He has adjusted to the speed of the game after a junior-college career shortened by a knee injury. Bolton made his presence felt in a variety of ways, often in the Texas backfield. He had five tackles, a half a sack, 1.5 tackles for losses, batted a pass and forced a fumble.
**3 – Michael Reynolds**: He had a sack, two tackles for losses and a quarterback hurry and looked quick doing it. UT has serious problems at tackle and Reynolds exposed them.
**4 – Cassius Sendish**: The next time a QB runs the option, watch Sendish running horizontally and then watch his burst of acceleration when the QB pitches the ball to the back. Impressive. Had four tackles.
**5 – Jake Love**: Made his five tackles count and did a nice job of getting into the face of the quarterback.
**6 – Dexter McDonald**: Had four tackles and ripped a ball for a forced fumble.
**7 – De’Andre Mann**: Ran hard again and had 83 yards on 17 carries to show for it (4.9 yards per carry).
**8 – Nick Harwell**: Crisp route runner was rewarded more than usual for getting open. Made five catches for 39 yards.
**9 – Trevor Pardula**: Pinned four of his six punts inside the 20 and averaged 41.3 yards.
**10 – Corey Aver**y: Averaged 4.9 yards on eight carries. In the early stages of what should be a terrific career.
