Selden’s aggressiveness puts him atop of ratings on rough night for KU

By Staff     Nov 19, 2014

**1 – Wayne Selden Jr**.: He didn’t shoot well, 4 for 12, 1 for 4 from three, 0 for 2 from the line, but played more aggressively and with more confidence than most of his teammates. Led Kansas in scoring with nine points and had four rebounds.

**2 – Cliff Alexander**: Made just 2 of 7 shots and 4 of 8 free throws but battled for five offensive rebounds and eight overall on a night he scored eight points in 20 minutes.

**3 – Jamari Traylor**: Had trouble getting shots off against Kentucky’s huge front line, and was 0 for 6 from the field. But he also had seven rebounds, three off the offensive glass, and blocked three shots.

**4 – Kelly Oubre Jr.**: Made his first start and played 13 minutes, time enough to produce six points and four rebounds.

**5 – Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk**: Continues to rush his shot, the most noticeable sign of his youth. But he does not play with fear. Mixed in a steal and an assist on a night he made just 1 of 5 shots, all three-pointers.

**6 – Frank Mason III**: Looked so small in the lane, surrounded by Kentucky’s giants, and didn’t always know what to do with the ball after picking up his dribble, and usually ended up shooting it. He did not commit any turnovers in 32 minutes and made 1 of 10 shots.

**7 – Landen Lucas**: Not as long, big or quick as Kentucky’s post players, he didn’t let that strip him of his aggressiveness. Had five rebounds in eight minutes.

**8 – Perry Ellis**: Had trouble getting his shot off and did nothing to make it difficult for Kentucky’s big men to take aim. Hit just 1 of 6 field goals, contributed only four points and collected a pair of rebounds.

**9 – Devonté Graham**: Not quite experienced enough to figure out all the challenges playing against Kentucky presents. Played 14 scoreless minutes.

**10 – Brannen Greene**: Committed three fouls in five scoreless minutes.

**11 – Hunter Mickelson**: Played just three minutes and did not produce any other statistics.
