Lawrence Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan talks with former Oklahoma head coach Billy Tubbs, left, and KU athletic director Sheahon Zenger prior to tipoff on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at Lloyd Noble Center.

**1. Travis Releford:** Career high for the third consecutive game, increasing point total from 14 to 16 to 28. Active junior also pitched in two assists and two steals. His three-pointer doesn’t look pretty until it goes in.

**2. Thomas Robinson:** Every game he shows something we haven’t seen before from him. This time it was a behind-the-back dribble near the end of his coast-to-coast bucket. He continues to maintain his composure despite getting pushed and shoved throughout the game. Finished with 18 points, nine rebounds and just one turnover.

**3. Elijah Johnson:** Continues to struggle from three but had a terrific second half at both ends and in transition. Finished with nine points, five assists and four rebounds.

**4. Tyshawn Taylor:** Had six assists, two turnovers, three steals and had a strong second half driving and dishing. Misfired on all five three-pointers.

**5. Justin Wesley:** Had two points, four rebounds, a block and a steal in 13 minutes.

**6. Jeff Withey:** Three blocked shots were the highlight of an otherwise quiet day for the center.

**7. Kevin Young:** Scoreless but active in 13 minutes, time enough to pick up a pair of offensive rebounds.

**8. Conner Teahan:** Had a strong drive to the bucket and scored when heavily guarded. Overall though, not a great day. Missed all three three-pointers and had three turnovers.

**9. Naadir Tharpe:** Two turnovers in five minutes kept him from playing more.
