James Sims best Jayhawk in loss

**1. James Sims:** You have to love the way this true freshman runs. He gained 24 of his 78 yards on a touchdown run. For the most part, yards were difficult to come by because of a lack of blocking.
**2. Tyler Patmon:** Playmaker came up with a huge tackle that made the Cowboys turn it over on downs and contributed two pass breakups.

**3. Chris Harris:** Led team with 11 tackles and assisted Patmon on his big stop.

**4. Drew Dudley:** Rock-solid tackler got into backfield for a tackle.

**5. Steven Johnson:** Active linebacker contributed eight tackles.

**6. Bradley McDougald:** Made the switch to safety and said it will be permanent. Missed a key tackle early but ended up with eight tackles in a solid effort considering he hadn’t been practicing with the defense until this past week.

**7. Justin Springer:** Had seven tackles and a quarterback hurry.

**8. Daymond Patterson:** Led team with six catches and 68 receiving yards.

**9. Greg Brown:** Had three pass breakups and seven tackles. The sophomore plays the right way. He’s aggressive. He tries to make plays. He doesn’t let the game come to him.

**10. Chris Omigie:** He had a few drops, which was why he dropped all the way to 10th, but he also opened the game with a 36-yard reception on a go route down the right sideline and threw a key block on Sims’ long touchdown run.
