Could Collins make it four in a row at the top of the Keegans?

By Staff     Jan 14, 2010

1. Sherron Collins: Had 22 points and five assists, made 4 of 5 three-pointers and all six free throw attempts and kept his head when all about him were losing theirs. He’s having a terrific senior season.

2. Marcus Morris: Did not start but played a big part in finishing off Nebraska. Made 7 of 8 field goals, both three-pointers and totaled 19 points and seven rebounds (four offensive). Didn’t turn it over.

3. Tyrel Reed: Made 3 of 5 from long distance and had a pair of assists and a blocked shot without turning it over.

4. Tyshawn Taylor: Did a nice job of feeding the post and finished with 11 points and three rebounds.

5. Brady Morningstar: Was a positive influence for KU in more ways than his stats (four points, four assists).

6. Cole Aldrich: Missed bunnies and had just one field goal, despite good post feeds from Taylor. Did contribute nine boards and three blocked shots, but still in an offensive funk. In the past two games he has nearly as many turnovers (three) as field goals.

7. Markieff Morris: Had five points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal in 15 minutes.

8. Xavier Henry: The slump continues. In the past three games, has made 8 of 28 field goal attempts, has three assists and seven turnovers.

9. Elijah Johnson: Bucket on aggressive drive taken away when he was called for an offensive foul for using his off hand to free himself. He plays with more energy and better body language than C.J. Henry.

10. Thomas Robinson: Was a little too hyper in his first start and had a rough eight minutes. Always brings a lot of effort.
