Dislocated finger can’t keep Marcus from top of ratings

By Staff     Feb 9, 2010

**1. Marcus Morris:** Handled the ball great against Texas pressure and continues to be the team’s most versatile, consistent performer. In another extremely consistent effort, Morris contributed 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists and made 7 of 10 field goals and 4 of 5 free throws.

**2. Xavier Henry:** Playing more in the paint and less on the perimeter, Henry totaled 15 points, five boards, two assists, a blocked shot and a steal. His shot still was off, but he played with toughness.

**3. Sherron Collins:** Made just 3 of 13 field goals, but made up for it with extremely active defensive play (four steals), perfect free throw shooting (8 of 8) and strong playmaking (five assists, two turnovers).

**4. Markieff Morris:** Had eight points, nine boards and three blocked shots in 19 minutes and made his only three-point shot.

**5. Brady Morningstar:** Didn’t finish well, but made both three-point shots, played strong defense and took care of the basketball. Finished with eight points, three boards, two assists and three steals and did not turn it over.

**6. Cole Aldrich:** Blocked six shots, but made just 2 of 10 field goals. Finished with seven points and five boards.

**7. Tyshawn Taylor:** Still has mental lapses at both ends of the floor, but he did contribute seven points and two steals in 19 minutes.

**8. Tyrel Reed:** Nothing spectacular and nothing about which to gripe.
