I know it’s early, but the latest AP poll put the Big 12 North football race into perspective.
The degree of separation between the top three teams? Close to nonexistent.
Before the season, I thought the North would come down to Kansas and Nebraska. My preseason North favorite was Kansas. I haven’t changed that.
But throw Missouri right into the mix. I’ve seen a few comments on my earlier blogs that suggest people are expecting Missouri to challenge for the division after its impressive week 1 rout over Illinois.
Who knows, maybe the premier game in the North this year will again be Kansas vs. Missouri at Arrowhead Stadium. We’re just one week in, but Missouri is looking much better than people thought it’d be. A three-horse race would be fun to follow.
I’ve entered my picks for week 2 to follow up my 9-3 showing from the debut episode of ConferenceChatterTV.
Feel free to check out the latest episode below:
Also, I meant to mention this before week 1, but it slipped my mind. I don’t know if you guys are like me in this aspect, but I usually have my laptop out for the Big 12 games that take place during the day.
I realize many of you go to the KU games, but if you’re home watching the games before the Jayhawks play, feel free to hit me up on twitter. My user name is Big12_Spotlight. And don’t worry, if you follow me, I won’t be that annoying guy who posts something every second and clogs your home page with tweets.
I don’t post play-by-play. But I’ll post developments from across the conference as I see them. It’s made for some good conversation on there, so feel free to take part.
That should be all for now, friends. As always, discuss.
