The 2021-22 Kansas basketball season officially gets under way Friday night, when the Jayhawks return to an in-person Late Night in the Phog at Allen Fieldhouse, featuring this year's team, Rob Riggle and Run-DMC.

Several key recruiting prospects also will be on hand for Friday's fun.

In addition to that, the Kansas football team jumps back into Big 12 play with a 6 p.m. game at Iowa State on Saturday night.

The Cyclones are a 33-point favorite in that one, and the Jayhawks are hoping to both get the game to the fourth quarter for a change and stop a 3-game losing skid.

In this week's episode of The KU Sports Hour, we discuss all of that and more, including:

• What's gone wrong (and right) with Kansas football

• Players we're looking forward to watching on the hardwood

• And past Late Night memories

Come hang out...
