Kansas running backs coach Jonathan Wallace has been recruiting Edwards, who has already taken an unofficial visit to campus.

Edwards, whose father, Leon, played at Kansas State from 1992-94, wrote on his social media accounts that he will try to take his five official visits in June and make a commitment afterward.

"No one realizes that I was really talking to them like that, but Coach Wallace β€” I've built the best relationship out of any running backs coach (with him)," Edwards told 247Sports on Friday. "He calls every day; he texts me every day. He shows up to my school all the time. If I don't go there, he's still going to be my guy."

Kansas has not yet landed a commitment from any players in the Class of 2023.
