The Day After: Cutting down the Cowboys

Yes, and I was surprised none of the articles mentioned his injury. He didn't look like the same player 2nd half.

16 pts is pretty good for a half, or even 12, no matter how he got them.

Source: Beaty completes coaching staff with hiring of TCU's Kenny Perry

Kenny Perry...has agreed to join the Jayhawks as a defensive backs coach and co-defensive coordinator.

Perry joins ... Clint Bowen (defensive coordinator/defensive backs)...

So Perry and Bowen have the same job?

No. 10 Jayhawks hold off No. 13 Utes at Sprint Center

91% free throw shooting seems like a pretty important stat too.

Self seeking more productivity from his Jayhawks

It's a 3" difference in height, if you add all 5 of those players from each team. That's a 0.6" difference per player, on average. So maybe somewhat comparable.

The Day After: Running over Washburn

41 exhibition wins in a row is pretty good, but who did we lose to in an exhibition game in 1994 (or 1993)?

Perry Ellis best Jayhawk in Sunflower Showdown loss

38 minutes vs 15 minutes. I agree with your observations, but they were only one spot different in the ratings, which really isn't different. Tharpe did hit some key shots, and his overall body of work in his extensive time on the floor is probably why he was giving the slightly higher rating.

Cyclones vs. Jayhawks: Still a long way to go before calling this one a true rivalry

Four of the 20 games have gone to overtime. That's rivalryish. Certainly makes for excitement. Seems like a high percentage (20%). How many other teams we play regularly have such a high overtime rate?
