I don't get it. When I was growing up a coach getting in your face motivated me more and I played that much harder. Did I get told good job? No, my "good job" was self satisfaction that I had a good game. Some of these guys better "buck up." Unless they're at the top of the food chain, life in the working world isn't much different. I have a four year degree and work for a manufacturing company. I had a boss that would tell us that if we didn't like it, we could go down the road and work at McDonald's. He's right. The job "owes" me nothing. I owe my employer my best because I am paid to do that job. Aren't some of these players "paid" in terms of full scholarships, partial scholarships or even "paid" by starting or playing? Sure hope when they get into the "real world" that they don't treat their employees the way they are condemning Mangino for. What goes around comes around.
