UNC-ya: Halftime speech by seniors — not Bill Self — sparks KU in 70-58 win

I didn't sit down after half time, that wasn't working in the first half.

NBA Stock Watch: January 2013

I don't understand why Withey is so low this year. His stats are right up there if not nearly identical offensively and defensively as last year's #1 pick Anthony Davis, who had quite a slim frame as well, yet he was regarded all year as the likely #1 pick. Matt do you have any idea why there seems to be a double-standard here with Withey? Is it just because he's not as touted since he's not one of Calipari's freshmen phenoms? I think Withey will be a better pro by far in the long run than Davis.

Oh my! Manti Te'o story takes new and horrible twist

To have come out with such a seemingly prepared and well thought-out statement so soon after this story broke earlier today is awfully fishy. I am not really buying any of this nonsense that the kid has nothing to do with it and had no idea whatsoever she was false is beyond me. The big kicker for me is that he claims to have talked to her every night on the phone before he went to sleep for 4 months. I'd love for somebody to pull those cell phone records and I'd bet my life savings on the fact that they do not exist. That would mean that someone behind this hoax would have found a woman willing to talk on the phone with this kid EVERY NIGHT FOR FOUR MONTHS just to set up this elaborate hoax? Even IF this mystery female hoax volunteer existed, she would have to be awfully convincing and dedicated to this cause. His story simply does not add up. The kid is a flat out, despicable liar. Worst sports scandal since Jerry Sandusky.

I was just in Hawaii three days ago, so I'm going to go ahead and take credit for this one. You're welcome Charlie....RCJH!

Weis dials back KU's offense to safeguard defense

BringBackMark, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Ex-USC coach unknown

Keegan...Please go somewhere else. I don't remember reading a single one of your articles and being glad I took the time to do so. The only relevance this has is that this guy happened to be playing golf in Lawrence. Is this what passes as a worthy article for you? SMH.

Wally Judge quits K-State basketball team

I don't know about you guys but I am less than surprised at this year's developments. I think the initial "Frank Martin is so passionate" feelings are wearing off to reveal that Frank is really just not a good coach. You can only win so many games by playing physical and getting the other team to get into a scrapfest with you all game. At some point you need to be able to play the chess match and I think Frank is not capable of this. Also, given way he is willing to behave on the bench during nationally televised games I can only imagine how terrible it has to be in practice right now during this tough stretch. I know the kids should be tough and deal with it, but I do not doubt that Frank takes it too far sometimes. There's passionate and then just plain uncalled for. I wouldn't play for this guy either.
