Tyshawn Taylor, Bill Self look to build off UK game mistakes

I understand what you are talking about and thus it seems like he has been there for ages. TT may be a good guy (not kid) but that goes to waste each season. So why can't a PG shoot the ball or know his surroundings and pull it out. He is a senior! I knew this in AAU in middle school. Can't shoot and make good decisions? Heck of a PG resume to me.

Tyshawn Taylor, Bill Self look to build off UK game mistakes

I just wish, if you called yourself a guard then you would be able to shoot the ball. What else do you do on the playground? You can't always play 5-5 or 3-3 and look for the assist. It boggles my mind that these guys have such poor shooting strokes. Look at how QB's are analyzed. We analyze their throwing motion. Surely HCBS can see when a player has a poor shooting stroke and hence move on. They won't learn a new stroke in college. ALL guards need to be able to shoot from the perimeter, if they can't, then they have no business being on this team. You might not like Morningstar and Reed's athletic ability, but they knew who they were. TT doesn't seem to know this after 4 years. He isn't a high flier, so why not work on the jump shot? It's the easiest thing you can do as a guard because all you need is a ball and a rim. Apparently his AAU coach didn't tell him that. I love his desire but I feel this guy (not kid) should've been shooting 500 3's at every workout. I'm as white as they come and can't jump over a corn cob but I can nail a 3 and that's the type of player/team that always brings us down.

Though KU football future uncertain, players deserve support in finale

I said this many years ago and I will say it again. Refurbishing Memorial Stadium was a joke. It looks nice, but for D-I AA. That track looks ridiculous around the stadium. We should have built a new stadium off campus, with plenty of parking if we wanted to compete. Yes the facilities are ok now but when you watch the other games on tv you should realize what we are missing. The craziness at other games is enviable and I wish I was the B. Pickens of KU because I would fund the whole thing and let the track team keep their field.

Collin Garrett called to duty

My problem with this article is the coaching staff admitting he hasn't received a lick of coaching. If thats the case, KU needs to rethink how they are developing their redshirt players. That is a ridiculous comment to make.

Jay Bilas, Bill Self on top of games

I love the enthusiasm in Bilas' voice but I'm still questionable on the recent recruiting. We shouldn't have to deal with partial qualifiers. Our players should be able to cheat fair and square like every other school. :)

KU freshmen Ben McLemore, Jamari Traylor ineligible for 2011-12 season

so HCBS's plan was to recruit 3 guys who wouldn't qualify? Great idea
