KU hires former Jayhawk Matt Baty to lead Williams Fund efforts

It was time to focus on Memorial Stadium 10 years ago. Now may be too late. But if Matt can convince dynamic brother Ryan to stop selling mattresses and lead the stadium campaign, it may not be too late.

KU AD Zenger: Camaraderie, leadership strong in Big 12 Conference

Things may be "pretty good" in the league, but KU football is dead in the water until Zenger does something about anachronistic Memorial Stadium. See Jesse Newell's story in The Star.

Wide receivers coach Klint Kubiak leaving KU for the Denver Broncos

What do you expect these departing coaches to say . . . that the future is grim? C'mon. They know KU football is dead in the water until the administration abandons its Nero-like approach to football. It's time to wake up.

Column: Early returns not all bad

Bad defenses have been hallmarks of bad KU teams of the past. Just a guess, but I think Cozart will be switched to RB before the season is over, and Willis will be thrown into the fire at QB because the future certainly isn't now.

Column: SDSU likely lone win for KU football

Moore won with Fambrough recruits. Four years later, the Jayhawks were 1-10. Terry Allen was bad, but not that bad.

Column: SDSU likely lone win for KU football

Worst KU football hires of all-time: 1. Bob Valesente by AD Monte Johnson. 2. Charlie Weis by Sheahon Zenger. 3. Turner Gill by Lew Perkins. 4. Chuck Mather by Dutch Lonborg. 5. Bud Moore by Clyde Walker.
