Baseline view: Kansas beats Iowa State on Senior Day

I love baseline view, look for it after every game. Amazing work in my opinion!

Self visits Thorne's parents; former Charlotte player to visit May 1

Position has nothing to do with it. I am talking about people's perception of pulling in athletes with less pub and fanfare. That has nothing to do with position. My name is Christopher by the way.

Withey averaged six minutes a game the season prior to 11-12. The sky was falling talk was just the same then when we got Young. Tell me again how he is not relevant to the unknown discussion again?

Kevin Young played a vital role on a team that went 32-7 and played for a NC. The sky was falling then too. I am just as critical as the next but sometimes the high profile guy is not always what is best to fill a role.

Column: Fearless Frank Mason delivers when Jayhawks need it most

Frankie Knuckles! If you mess with him you better put him down because he will keep coming back time and time again.

Buzzer-beaten: Perry Ellis, Jayhawks take last-second loss hard

I think maybe your expectations may have been a little too high for the kid coming out of H.S.? Thats natural, mine were probably a little to high too. Cliff has never claimed to be a one and done guy and he is not clearly. Having said that, he is just as far along if not farther along then Trob was his freshman year and probably about the same as Markeef Morris was his freshman year. Should Cliff be further along then he is? That is a tough question to answer but I think that he is definately still thinking too much and that is making him a step slower. The light bulb will come on. It took Perry till the Big 12 tournament of his freshman year to get it and play closer to his freshman ceiling so as hard as it is I think we have to look for the small stuff in Cliff like consistant box outs or not taking plays off in order yo judge his progression.

It takes 40 minutes to lose or win a basketball game, not just the last three seconds. We lost because we did not keep WVU off of the offensive boards. Rebounding is all about hustle and want too. Everyone has to put their body on a man when the ball goes up against a team that crashes the boards like WVU. Losses like this hurt more then blow outs because of the could have, should have, would have aspect but I choose to believe this will be spun into a renewed sense of motivation and hunger for this team and that while no loss is good it may prove to be benificial down the stretch.

Column: Kansas defense hardly feared

Is this the year that HCBS doesnt get it figured out by the time Big 12 play starts? Maybe, but I wouldn't put my money on that being the case. It is the same ole stuff year after year on this board. I inderstand the reservations for this team but the comments are just a mirror image of every year on this board and those comments usually end up being wrong. Anyway, just an observation. After tomorrow against UNLV, its a brand new season just like last year.
